Inspira Cumbria
I was approached to build Inspira Cumbria‘s new website as they rebranded from Connexions Cumbria.
The design
Andy Culbert of Mero Graphics provided the design with a view to creating a quite forward thinking website. So responsive design was requested and custom web fonts (FF DIN Web) were used.
The development
As with most of my recent projects, this was WordPress based and involved lots of custom post types.
The client provided some very positive feedback about how easy WordPress was to use – they did have previous experience with WordPress so this made content population for them much easier and meant I had to devote less time to support.
Timelines
This project took 7.5 days in development time.
I was approached in late December 2011 and the project launched a month later. Some elements were delivered post launch including the responsive CSS and the HTML newsletter build (for which Campaign Monitor was used).
There were a specific deadline in place – hence the quick turnaround – of a public launch for the new website and the new branding of the organisation.
Summary
Another interesting project, turned around on a very tight schedule for the client’s launch. Overall, I think this is a very engaging site and the designer has done a terrific job in this regard. The project was directed by Timothy Leyland. This was my first project working with either Andy or Tim and it was very a pleasant experience.
